Partakers in a Divine Partnership
As we are approaching this Christmas season, I wanted to highlight: Isaiah 9:6,7 TPT
The Wonderful One
6 A child has been born for us; a son has been given to us. The responsibility of complete dominion will rest on His shoulders,(oh by the way, He is the head and as His body, we are His shoulders...!), and His Name will be:
The Wonderful One!
The Extraordinary Strategist!
The Mighty God!
The Father of Eternity!
The Prince of Peace!
7 Great and vast is His dominion. He will bring immeasurable peace and prosperity. He will rule on David’s throne and over David’s kingdom to establish and uphold it by promoting justice and righteousness from this time forward and forevermore. The marvelous passion[f] that the Lord Yahweh, Commander of Angel Armies, has for His people will ensure that it is finished!”
This has become an incredible revelation to John & I in recent years, and we believe it is a pivotal step in coming into greater understanding of the uniquely powerful role we will have in these coming days!
Moving on from that, I felt that Papa wanted me to release some of the revelation I have been impacted with regarding our being “Partakers of His Divine Nature”, so we trust this will excite you, enlighten you and hopefully answer some questions you may have had regarding this!
In the book I am currently writing and madly trying to finish entitled, “Unhinged...Worship Through Door Number. Four”, my very first chapter is about, “Divine Partnership”. It has captured my attention in recent years as I felt Papa calling me to do an in-depth study of 2 Peter 1:3,4, which was and is still one of our foundation verses for Gateway International and Access Unlimited that I highlighted last month. As I began to explore what it means, especially in worship, I excitedly perused word studies and cross references but in this article I want to put it in the context of our daily lives.
“Divine” defined:
Webster’s dictionary defines “divine” as:
”of, from, or like God or a god; devoted to God,
sacred;...providence or God; excellent delightful...”
Partnership defined:
Webster’s Dictionary defines “partnership” as:
“an association of two or more people as partners.”
Similar words: collaboration, coalition, alliance, association, *union*
Union/Unity is a key element to partaking in His divine nature:
John 17:22-26 TPT
22 “For the very glory you have given to me I have given them so that they will be joined together as one and experience the same unity that we enjoy.
23 You live fully in me and now I live fully in them so that they will experience perfect unity, and the world will be convinced that you have sent me, for they will see that you love each one of them with the same passionate love that you have for me.
24 “Father, I ask that you allow everyone that you have given to me to be with me where I am! Then they will see my full glory—the very splendor you have placed upon me because you have loved me even before the beginning of time.
25 “You are my righteous Father, but the unbelieving world has never known you in the perfect way that I know you! And all those who believe in me also know that you have sent me!
26 I have revealed to them who you are and I will continue to make you even more real to them, so that they may experience the same endless love that you have for me, for your love will now live in them, even as I live in them!”
Key Aspects of this Divine Partnership is also found in:
This verse plainly states that all believers, (you and me!), are made “partakers of the divine nature” through God’s promises. To what extent can we partake of God’s nature?
There are several notable points in this passage.
First: God’s power has granted us the “very great promises” concerning our salvation. Secondly: It is through those promises that we are made “partakers of the divine nature”. Thirdly: Being partakers of the divine nature, involves escaping the world’s evil and sinful desires and influences. Simply put, when we come into relationship with the Father through Jesus His Son, we receive a new nature, (“Kainos”Greek and Chadash Hebrew), by which we do not “perish with the world”!
Isn’t this an exciting promise? Sadly though, how many believers do not live this out in their daily lifestyle of worship? I know that until I received this revelation, although I had memorized these verses and even sang a “catchy” song with this in it, I didn’t fully live like I was a partaker in His divine nature.
Now that I’ve received and embraced this revelation, my main focus is on Him and what He thinks! My worship is now “unhinged” because as my friend Godfrey Birtill sings, “Just one touch, (face-to-face encounter, even one glance),from the King, changes everything! I am undone by Him!
Just ponder this powerful truth with me- He, the perfect sinless one, who conquered death, hell and the grave, was resurrected on the third day and is now seated at His Father’s right hand, has made me and deemed me,(in all my “flaws” and imperfections that I see), worthy to partake,(share and live in), His divine nature!!
Now if that doesn’t excite you, I’m not sure anything will!! “Can I get a witness?” Are you vibrating with Heaven’s frequencies yet??? Come on!! “I want to scream it out! From every mountain top…I sing because You are good and I dance because you are good…!” I hope you’re enjoying this as as much as I am!
Have you ever wondered what it would be like if we truly put this in to practice in our daily lives? Just think of what would happen- we would see blind eyes and deaf ears open, the lame walk, the dead raised, mountains removed...you can fill in the blanks for whatever you can believe for in your own life, right now! So right now, wherever you may be reading this, stand up, step in to this “Divine Partnership!”
May you and your families be blessed throughout this beautiful Holiday,(“Holy Day”) Season
